Services and solutions

Whatever the commodity, origin or destination, Mare coordinates the commercial and physical chain that moves it — from verifying the producer through to closing the settlement. Depending on the transaction we may act as principal trader, distributor, mandate or disclosed intermediary.

Nothing is offered to a buyer before the supply behind it has been checked. This is where most commodity fraud is stopped — long before a vessel is booked.

MARE

Producer verification

Legal existence, ownership, authority to sell, product availability, export capability, specifications and banking identity are verified and reconciled before a product is marketed. Directory records are checked independently rather than taken from a counterparty's own presentation.

MARE

Supplier onboarding

Producers, refineries, processors, mines, plantations, exporters and established trading houses are onboarded into a controlled network. Documentary consistency across the file matters as much as any single certificate.

MARE

Origin & certificates

The actual country of production is evidenced by documents. A loading port is never presented as the country of origin unless supporting certificates confirm the product was produced there.

MARE

Sampling & specification

Grade, moisture, protein and impurity tolerances are fixed contractually and confirmed against a drawn sample, so that quality disputes have an agreed reference point before shipment.

Shipping

Shipping

Ocean freight, vessel selection, chartering, air cargo, marine documentation and port execution are central to international bulk trade — and are where the maritime heritage of our parent company applies directly.

MARE MARITIME

Ocean freight

Containerised and breakbulk movement booked and coordinated end to end, with the cargo documents kept aligned to what was actually loaded. Vessels are operated under the Mare Maritime fleet and brand.

MARE MARITIME

Tanker chartering

Vessel selection and chartering for liquid bulk. Mare Maritime has carried out commercial management and chartering of VLCC, Aframax and LPG vessels since March 2015.

MARE COMMODITIES

Air freight

Air cargo coordination for time-sensitive, high-value and smaller-volume shipments, including samples and urgent commercial consignments. Booked when the shipment window matters more than the freight cost.

MARECOMMODITIES

Inland transport

Road, rail and barge movement connecting producers and plants to the load port, and the discharge port to the buyer's facility.

MARE

Port & terminal execution

Loading supervision, clear laytime and demurrage terms, realistic shipment windows, and a bill of lading issued against what was actually shipped.

Mare Maritime

Vessels, chartering and port execution

Ships and marine operations run under the Mare Maritime brand. Mare Commodities draws on that fleet experience for freight, vessel selection and the marine documentation that has to match the cargo.

Clear & protect

Clear & protect

Controlled and strategic goods require authorisations. Commodity-specific destination regulations, sanctions, food-safety rules, customs requirements and licensing are checked transaction by transaction.

MARE

Independent inspection

Quantity and quality confirmed by an independent surveyor before shipment, against the contracted specification, with a defined claims procedure agreed in advance.

MARE

Customs & permits

Shipments move under the customs regimes of their actual origin and destination. Local requirements for import, export and transhipment are checked per shipment, and authorisations are obtained where goods are controlled.

Insurance & screening

Counterparties, beneficial owners, vessels, banks, origin and destination are screened and the compliance review documented. Cargo is covered in transit where the Incoterm requires it.

MARE

Storage & warehousing

Bonded and standard storage arranged where a shipment window, a destination requirement or a discharge constraint calls for it.

Finance & settle

Finance & settle

Profit is calculated after freight, insurance, inspection, financing, banking, storage, demurrage, duties and taxes, documentation and agent commissions — not before.

MARE

Documentary credit

Risk-appropriate payment structures: documentary LC, confirmed LC, escrow or controlled TT arrangements, agreed in the contract rather than negotiated under pressure later.

MARE

Payment security

Funds are released against documents. Bank-detail changes are verified independently, and third-party or last-minute account changes receive enhanced review.

MARE

Trade documentation

Bill of lading, invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and inspection certificates reconciled against each other and against the vessel data before release.

B/L

Settlement & close

Settlement completed, costs reconciled, approved commissions paid only on cleared funds, and the full transaction record archived for future due diligence.
